My First Hedgehog

Today I was out with the cats in the backyard and Sam raced to the back gate between my yard and the neighbors. I, of course, raced back to because he has a tendency to run through said gate and then I have to sneak over and catch him. This time though he was intently staring at this cute little guy. I've been trying to find a hedgehog since I arrived, preferably one that wasn't smashed on the road, which are all over the place!
I couldn't believe how docile he was and I got really close for the pictures with the macro lens. He did start flinching though when the camera clicked so I just got a couple pics and left him alone.
